The final picture i chosen is the 2nd picture - with the necklace. This is because the colour is more contrasting and hence making it more appealing and easier to see.

The picture that I chose for my final submission is the 2nd picture. The rationale is that the 1st picture did not have a foreground object to compare with. Hence, it is difficult to compare whether it is a deep depth of field.

The picture that i submitted was the the 2nd picture. This is because the wheel is spinning much faster compared to the first. This dramatic effect is obtained by using a manual shutter speed and a tripod stand.

Both taken on the same occasion. I chose the 2nd picture as it is very clear that it is in freeze action. The instant when the person was jumping, I managed to taken a series of shots using the continuous shot-mode and a very fast shutter speed.

The 3rd picture was selected as my final submission as I feel that it is a difficult shot to get. This panning is done in a forward moving direction instead of taking the side view. Hence, i chose this picture despite it being the least prominent in showcasing the "panning" effect.

This assignment was the exploration of the Keitai phenomenon.

My concept was to portray the idea of "sharing".

This assignment requires us to make a photomontage based on the theme "Urban Fantasy".

After the critique session for this assignment, I edited another photo-collage to illustrate another idea..

"Survival of the Fittest".

Why survival of the fittest?

As shown in the picture, the "heaven"- which in this case is the cityscape - is a place yearned by many. Only the strongest can reach that place - and this is portrayed by the people cladded in business suits walking up the stairs. The stairs signifies the hierarchy status both in society and in work place, and in order to get up this stair, people have to go through the cruel process of vying and competing with one another, thus explaining why there is traces of blood present. Those who are weaker will then be left behind and fend for themselves - as shown by the drowning people in the sea waves.
